Designed and built by the Architect for a family of four on an existing rear yard with limited access, this two-story 4116 square foot home has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a large home office with balcony, formal living and dining rooms, family room, breakfast room, lower-level playroom and crafts studio, and a 1072 square foot 3-car garage with workshop space. The dramatic 2-story foyer has a large skylight overhead and custom wrought iron railing at the upper floor. The home’s geometry evolves from the desire to view the foothills to the southwest while providing efficient use of the rest of the site. Cement stucco, aluminum-clad windows and cement tile roofing  are all low-maintenance features.
