Whole-House Remodel

EVERGREEN, Colorado

A 1950’s raised ranch home, poorly designed with its main entrance off a flimsy wooden staircase, was totally remodeled inside and outside. A new main entrance was created with sheltering roof, the existing lower-level garage was converted into a music studio, a new 3-car garage wing with family room above was added, and most of the existing roof was replaced with timber trusses and remote operable clerestory windows. The great room sliding doors were replaced with wider and taller twin units that open onto the new partially roofed deck. The existing bedroom hall was widened along with the existing staircase. Custom doors and ironwork along with Brazilian cherry flooring complement the owner’s western themed furnishings.
